Safety is an indispensable aspect in every company, which is why the BAUR Group pays particular attention to this topic. Fire protection is one of the central pillars that help to ensure the safety of employees. An excellent example of how the BAUR Group trains its employees in dealing with hazards is the two-hour training course given by fire safety officer Michael Kannengießer.
The training begins with a theoretical part in which the fire safety officer Michael Kannengießer explains to the participants how to minimize risks preventively. This involves simple but effective measures that everyone can implement in everyday life to prevent fires. These include correct behavior when handling electrical appliances, knowledge of escape routes out of the building and awareness of potential sources of danger in the working environment. Another important part of the theoretical training is the correct behavior in an emergency.
What should you do if a fire actually breaks out? What steps should be taken to keep yourself and others safe? These and many other questions are discussed in detail and backed up with practical examples. The aim is to provide employees with the knowledge they need to act calmly and prudently in an emergency situation.
The theoretical part is followed by a practical exercise that gives the participants the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice. Under the guidance of Michael Kannengießer, the employees learn how to use fire extinguishers. They practise how to use a fire extinguisher correctly and which extinguishing techniques should be used for different types of fires.
This practical exercise is invaluable as it not only gives colleagues the necessary knowledge, but also the confidence to act correctly in an emergency. The practical training significantly lowers the inhibition threshold for using a fire extinguisher in an emergency.
The two-hour fire safety training course at the BAUR Group is an excellent example of how important and effective regular safety training can be. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical exercises comprehensively prepares employees for an emergency. This not only contributes to the safety of each individual, but also strengthens the sense of responsibility and community spirit within the company.
